Tips and masks for an itchy scalp

Hello there:)

Lately I've been experiencing itchy scalp for the first time! (maybe not, one time I had lice -.-...) So I decided to do some little research to treat this itchyness. Lets start :)

Why do I have an itchy scalp?

The first cause that we can think of is dranfull. It is cause from the overgrowth of yeast in your hair and eyebrows. The second reason of itchy scalp is that you may have been in a hair salon the past few days. Indeed if you color or relax your hair it can strip of the mosture of your scalp. The third cause Can be the habit of  blow-drying your hair everyday this can irrated and dry your scalp if you turn it at it hottest setting. The forth reason can be an allergic reaction to your shampoo and conditioner or anything that you put in your hair everyday. The last cause that I find and that is my cause is changing season, I live in Quebec so one day it's hot and the other it snow. But it can be anywhere you live because the spring is coming.

What can I do?

1. Change you shampoo and conditioner. It will help remove build-up from the pruducts you use daily.

2. Brush or comb your hair 2-3 times a day. It will help distribut your natural oils.

3. Eliminate any products than contain alcohol in your hair regimen. Alcohol is a very dry agent that can cause itchyness.

4. Drink plenty of water per day. Your scalp is a crutial surface that needs water.

5. Do not wash your hair everyday. If you do it everyday it will strip out the natural oils in your hair. I recommend to do it every 3 days.

Hair masks?

1. Take 10-20 drops of tea tree oil and mix it with baby shampoo, use it daily.

2.Use lemon juice, it is very effective if you have dranfull. Just take some fresh lemon juice and put it on your scalp. Wait 5 minutes and wash it out or you can again take some fresh lemon juice and mix it with yogurt, put in on your scalp for 15 to 20 minute and wash it out.

3. Use baking soda. First, put some olive oil on your scalp and then make a past of baking soda and water and put it on your scalp. Wait 10-15 minutes and rinse it out.

4. Use aloes vera. Take some fresh aloes and rub it on your scalp with your finger, wait 10-15 minutes and wash it out.

5. Use coconut oil. Warm some coconut oil in your hand and rub it on your scalp. Leave it as long as you can and wash it out. You also can warm some coconut oil and put it in your shampoo!

So this is all my tips for you, hope it will help! If you have any questions leave it in the comments and it will be a pleasure to answer you :) bye bye

Tips to prevent split ends

Hello there :)

I've had this idea to show you my 3 tips on how to prevent split ends, because who wants split ends eh? Unfortunetly, my hair is wavy and full, so I have alot of split ends fast but with these methods they are much better. Lets start :)

Tip #1 Oil the tip of your hair before going to bed.

After you had brade your hair, I recommend you to use an oil (I use coconut oil) to put on your ends. I saw that yes your hair is protect in a braid, but the ends are lousse so they can split with the friction of your bedsheet or pillows.

Tip #2 brush your hair from the tip to your scalp.

With this method your hair will less fallout because we attack the knot from the end and working up. When we start at the scalp we move the knot to our ends and try to pull it out, thats where the breakage begin!

Tip #3 Don't brush your hair when it's wet.

Your hair is at their weakess when it's wet, so brushing it will do really big damage. If you really have to brush it I would suggest you a wide tooth comb because it is more gentle on your hair.

This was my quick 3 tips for preventing split ends, hope you like it! If you have any questions make sure to comment my article and I will be please to answer you :)  Bye bye!

Desert Date shampoo and mask from Klorane review

Hello there :)

So this past month I used Klorane desert date shampoo and mask. I thougt that I could do a little review on it! This is the first review that I'd done so it may not be perfect. Lets start :)

First thing first. I think that the package is simple and neat. I like that when you look at some products and it seems to be a good natural product. Also there is the scent. The scent reminded me of sugar shack. It don't bother me but if you are a picky scents person I would not recommended to you.

The second topic that I would like to inform about is the ingredients in these products. The star ingredient is the desert date that is found in the tropical areas in Africa. Theses dates are supose to help regenerate dehydrated and devitalized hair, and it does (I will explain more in details below:) but my concernes is that there are really good ingredients in these products like desert date, castor oil etc and others that are not that good like sodium, sulfate and fragrance added. Also ingredient that has 12 letters like maltodextrin or polyquaternium-10 scares me a little. Again if you are a natural lover It may not be the one for you.
this is the ingredients of the shampoo

and the mask

Then how these poducts performed? Firstly the shampoo is my favorite product of the two. It lathers well and when you rinse it out your scalp and hair feels soft and hydrate, good one klorane!

Secondly, the mask is okay, let me explain. When you rinse it out I don't feel like it's hydrating my hair of that I could pass my fingers in them and don't have a knot. But when you let it dry your hair is shiny and soft.

Overall, it is a great product, it let my hair shiny and soft but I would really like that it didn't have all that bad stuff in it mainly sulfate. Also I would maybe like an other smell, it don't bother me that much but, I would like to smell other than a sugar shack..

If you have any questions leave it in the comments and I will be happy to reply to you! Have a nice day :)

My shower routine (hair)

Helle there :)

In this article I tought that it would be interesting to tell you about my shower routine. First I wash my hair 2 times a week, one time when I'm doing my hot oil treatement and the other when I do my normal routine. Before I get in the shower I brush any tangles out of my hair from the tip to the roots (it make less damage on your hair) This way my hair have less tangles when I'm done with showering.

When I'm in the shower I start with my shampoo (no way!) it is the desert date nutritive and reparative klorane shampoo.(I will do a full review on this product soon). I like to really take my time with this step and do a scalp massage from the forehead to the back of my neck for 5-10 minutes. Its good for the blood flow and it is so relaxing!

Next is the conditioner! Mine is again klorane and it suppose to do the same thing than the shampoo. After the shampoo I try to get out as much water that I can from my hair and then apply the conditioner (I like to use alot hehe) then tie it in a bun and put a shower cap on. Now I just do the rest of my shower routine and I get out from the shower with my bun. So just chill out as long as you can and rinse the conditioner with cold water. When you let the conditioner for more than 5 minutes it's like a deep conditioner but cheaper ;) it will help your hair to be strong and healty. Be aware to not do it more than one a week because it could do the opposite of what we want. Also if you rinse your hair with cold water they will be more shiny and less frizzy! :)
If you want to try klorane you can buy it online on: klorane.com
And if you live in Quebec you can buy it at your local drugstore!

Now that I rinse of my conditioner I dont brush or comb my hair until it is dry (if you dont have the time to wait, take a wide tooth comb because the hair is more fragile wet then dry so the brush will be too hard on it) And when its dry I comb it. Voilà! That was my shower routine. If you have questions leave it in the comments It will be a pleasure to answer you! Byebye :)

**I will now do and article two to three times a week so stay toon!**

My current hot oil treatment for hair

Hello there :)

Recently I learned about hot oil treatment, and tried to see if it will work with my hair. Hot oil treatment it's basically to heat some oil ( olive, coconut, jojoba, argan etc) put it on your hair, cover them in a shower cap or a plastic bag and heat it again. ( I take my blow dryer and do not worry, the oil and the shower cap protect your hair from the heat.)

So this is how I do it! The oils I use is olive oil and coconut oil, they are easy to find in your grocery store. So I go ahead and heat my olive oil ( I put it in the macrowave it take less time than to boil it :p) I will use this oil for my scalp. Next I take a pad and separate my hair in section. Damp your pad in the oil and start soaking your scalp with the oil. Then what I like to do is to turn the tv on and do a self scalp massage for 10 minutes. This will help increase the blood flow and eventually help with growing out your hair.

Now, for the rest of the hair I use coconut oil.

(If you can find unrefined coconut oil it's much better but refind does the trick ;)

As you may know, at room temperature, coconut oil is hard. But when you heat it it turn liquid. So after I heat it I like to take a vitamine E cap, cut it with a knife and squeeze the vitamine in the coconut oil but this is optional. After that I resection my hair, soak my ends in our mixture and be sure to cover the ends of the hair. Tie your hair, put it in a shower cap and heat it (like I said over.)
So now you can leave it a couple of hours or sleep with it.

Then how to get ride of all this oil? I like to section my hair in two and jump in the shower. To get ride of the oil you will need a good consisting shampoo. I use this one;

I wash one section two time and the other two time. Then I let my hair air dry. Sometimes, if you have full and alot of hair like me the hair of the back of your neck and the ends of your hair can be greasy. I suggest that you do a bun or a braid in your hair and wait the next morning to wash again one time your hair.

After all this adventure you will have beautiful and shiny hair! Do it once a week if you have alot of hair because is so much work hehe! And if not, I would recommend to do it two times a week for luscious hair. If you have questions or tips, let me know in the comments! Have a great day! Bye bye :D

My heatless waves

Hello there :)

So I went many times on youtube to learn how to do wavy/curly hair with no heat. And guess what? It always looked like crap -.- (do you recongnize yourself in this description? ;) .  So with practice and time I came up with a technique that works great on my hair! Be warn that this technique works wonders on my hair ( I will post a different article all about my friends so stay tune!) but may not work on yours. To proceed to this heatless style, start with damp hair and sleep with it. The next morning you will have beautiful locks! Lets begin

Step one: part your hair in two section (the two side of your head preferably)
Step two: Start at one side. Take your hair the nearest of your forehead and divide it into two sections.
Step three: Take the lowers section and place it over the higher section (now the higher section is the lower section)
Step four: take the new lower section, take lousse hair and place it with the lower section (may be a little confusing but no worries, I have a picture). Now Take the lower section and place it over the higher section.
Step five: continue just as time that you have no more lousse hair on the side of your hair.

Step six: braid it normaly and tie it. You can (or) you have to let the ends stick out with no braids. No problem there, if its frizzy and not appealing when you let your hair lousse the next morning just pour some water at your ends and let it hair dry, it should do the trick :)

What it should look like after all these steps.
(yeah yeah I'm in the kitchen when I do my hair ;) And pardon the knives I juste realise.. :x

Step six: repeat the same steps and Voilà! You will have beautiful hair when you  wake up! If you what more waves to frame your face you juste have to be a little more tigh when you do this updo(?). I hope it wasn't top confusing, if you have any questions I will be the happiest girl to respond to you in the comments! Bye bye :)
